Yes. Atlas AI is a bring-your-own-key extension. You'll need an API key from a supported provider (Groq, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or DeepSeek) to use the extension. Your key is stored only on your device and is never sent to us.
Each provider has its own console where you can generate a key, for example Groq Console, OpenAI Platform, Google AI Studio, Anthropic Console, or the DeepSeek Platform. Sign up on the provider's site and create a key there, then paste it into the extension's settings.
No. Selected text and images are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you've configured, using your own key. We don't operate a backend server and don't receive a copy. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Try refreshing the page after installing or updating the extension — content scripts only load on pages opened after installation. If it still doesn't appear, check that the extension is enabled for that site and hasn't been toggled off from the extension's settings.
Open the extension's sidebar or popup and use the site/page toggle to disable it for the current site or page. This preference is saved locally in your browser.
Email us at atlasintelligencework@gmail.com with details of what happened (and a screenshot if possible), or describe the feature you'd like to see.
You can remove Atlas AI at any time from your browser's extensions page. This deletes all locally stored data, including your saved API key(s) and preferences.
